The Bordeaux CCI organises the first Vinexpo exhibition.

Adhésion Group creates the World Wine Meetings, the first business convention for wines and spirits

VINEXPO BORDEAUX – CREATION OF CLUB VINEXPO
The Vinexpo Club is established and brings together the top wine and spirits buyers around the world in a dedicated area at the heart of the exhibition.

The Languedoc-Roussillon region creates the Vinisud exhibition in Montpellier
The event aims to become the international showcase for the world’s largest wine region.
1998
Vinexpo Asia-Pacific in Hong Kong is created
Becoming the first global exhibition for wine in Asia.

Vinexpo America is established in New York
The first event takes place from 22 to 24 October.

WBWE Amsterdam is created
The World Bulk Wine Exhibition aims to turn the spotlight on the bulk wine sector.

Launch of VINISUD Asia
For its first event outside France, VINISUD travels to Shanghai.

Launch of the Vinexpo Challenge
The first major blind tasting hosted by the world’s top sommeliers is held at Vinexpo Asia-Pacific.

Launch of Vinovision Paris.
Organised by Comexposium, the first exhibition for cool climate wines is held in Paris.

Vinexpo and Comexposium’s wine division join forces. Today, Vinexposium is the world’s leading organiser of wine and spirits industry gatherings with a portfolio of emblematic and recognised events.

Launch of the digital portal
During the pandemic (Covid), a digital portal to support development of trade and business for the industry is launched, providing a high-performance resource all year round. Initially called Vinexposium Connect, it is now Vinexposium 365.

LAUNCH OF VINEXPO INDIA
Organised jointly with SIAL India and in close collaboration with local partner Inter Ads Exhibition, Vinexpo India ranks as a strategic event in a market with very high growth potential.
