First World Wine Meetings in Blois

The very first business convention for wines and spirits was held in Blois by Adhesion Group.

Vinexpo Bordeaux – Creation of Club Vinexpo

Club Vinexpo, housing a selection of the world’s leading wine and spirits buyers, was established with its own area at the heart of the exhibition.

Creation of Vinisud in Montpellier

The Languedoc-Roussillon region introduced the first Vinisud tradeshow. Its ambition was to become a global showcase for the region’s wines.

Vinexpo Asia-Pacific debuts
in Hong Kong

The first business meeting of its kind for industry members in Asia-Pacific. The exhibition moved permanently to Hong Kong in 2006.

Vinexpo Americas opens
in New York

The new subsidiary of Vinexpo heralded the advent of the first Vinexpo exhibition in the United States, located in New York.

Inception of WBWE Amsterdam

WBWE was created in response to the need to give more visibility and transparency to the bulk wine industry.

1st Vinisud Asia in Shanghai

Building on its success, Vinisud organised its first exhibition in China to promote Mediterranean wines in Asia.

At the initiative of the northern French wine trade associations, Comexposium launched their first major trade event in Paris.

A series of business meetings, tastings and vineyard discoveries over two days in one of the world’s wine regions with attendance by around one hundred international buyers.

The WBWE sought to capitalise on the growing niche in China, not only for the bulk wine market, but also for wine in general.

Vinisud and Vinovision join forces and organise the first Wine Paris, showcasing a comprehensive range of northern French and Mediterranean wines.
