The V d\u2019Or voting process<\/h1>\n

[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_row_inner el_class=”vdor-title-block”][vc_column_inner][vc_column_text css=””]The V d\u2019Or awards are decided by a Judging Panel<\/strong>, composed of leading figures from across the world of wine and spirits.<\/p>\n

In each of the three categories<\/strong>, the applications that stood out most to the panel are shortlisted as nominees and invited to take part in the awards ceremony.<\/p>\n

Michel Chapoutier<\/h3>\n <\/span>\n \n

Since 1990, Michel Chapoutier, a long-standing and committed advocate of biodynamic viticulture, has led Maison M. CHAPOUTIER with a clear vision: every wine must express the terroir from which it originates. He has also played a key role in the international expansion of the family-owned company.
\nCommitted to the transmission of expertise and the sharing of know-how, he serves as President of the Union des Maisons et Marques de Vin (UMVIN), an organisation representing the interests of around 700 French wine companies. In this capacity, he champions the interests and expertise of the industry, while helping to shape the debate around the challenges facing the world of wine.<\/p>\n\n \n <\/svg>\n <\/a>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n \n <\/div>\n\n\t\n

Prior to joining Wine Institute, she held senior leadership positions in the wine sector including Executive Director of the Sonoma County Vintners, President of Brack Mountain Wine Company, and North American Brand Director for Penfolds and Rosemount Estate.<\/p>\n\n \n <\/svg>\n <\/a>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n

Over the past 40 years, Mario Piccini has transformed Piccini 1882, his family winery, into a global brand. He is renowned for creating one of Piccini's most iconic labels, Chianti Orange, now one of the most widely distributed Chianti wines in the world. Since becoming CEO in 2004, he has expanded the business by acquiring several estates in Basilicata, Etna, Piedmont and the Prosecco hills.<\/p>\n\n \n <\/svg>\n <\/a>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n

Based in Singapore, she writes for leading international publications and serves as a judge at major wine and spirit competitions including Decanter World Wine Awards. She actively participates in industry discussions as a speaker and moderator, offering insights and perspective on the Asia-Pacific's drinks culture. Nimmi holds a master\u2019s degree in marketing from Monash University, Australia, and earned the WSET Diploma in 2017.<\/p>\n\n \n <\/svg>\n <\/a>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n

Based in Garz\u00f3n, Christian Wylie has been responsible for the entire winery and all aspects of its operations for the last ten harvests. As Managing Director, Wylie brings nearly twenty-five years of wine industry experience along with additional business management skills. He holds an agricultural engineering degree with a specialisation in fruiticulture and enology from the Catholic University of Chile. He also studied at the University of California at Davis and completed a post-graduate senior management program at the ESE Business School in Chile. He began his career at Pernod Ricard, before holding senior positions at the Bureau National Interprofessionnel du Cognac (BNIC) and the Lanson-BCC Group and subsequently becoming Managing Director of Cognac houses Larsen and Renault. Since 2022, he has served as CEO of Champagne house Canard-Duch\u00eane, leading its transformation and strengthening its presence in France and internationally.
